Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage has announced the extension of the deadline for submitting applications for the Sixth Edition, in response to requests from a number of institutions and individuals interested in participating, and to provide a broader opportunity for institutions, researchers, and creatives in the field of cultural heritage to submit their entries.
Award confirmed that the final deadline for receiving applications will be 30 April 2026, noting that this extension reflects its commitment to supporting cultural activity and enabling practitioners and those interested in cultural heritage from around the world to participate in one of the leading specialized awards in the heritage field at both the regional and international levels.
Award continues to receive applications across its various categories, which celebrate individual and institutional efforts in safeguarding both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, and recognize initiatives and projects that contribute to strengthening cultural identity and highlighting pioneering experiences in this vital sector.
Award also called on all those wishing to participate to complete the application requirements within the specified period, confirming that the evaluation process will be conducted in accordance with precise criteria overseen by specialized judging committees to ensure the highest levels of transparency.
